DEVELOPMENT AND USE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN LIGHT OF THE NEGATIVE AND POSITIVE OBLIGATIONS OF THE STATE TO GUARANTEE THE RIGHT TO LIFE
Use of AI by States may lead to a breach of their negative obligation to respect the right to life, which could occur for instance during the use of autonomous weapons systems that are being led by AI or in the development of databases for health, transport, regulatory or other purposes, in view of the negative obligation of States to respect the right to life.
AI, however, can also be used to fulfil the positive obligations of States to guarantee the right to life, as for instance in preventing environmental pollution, deadly diseases, hunger and poverty.
This research project conducts research and analyses, as well as determines the main concepts on development and use of AI technology in line with the obligation to guarantee the right to life both in terms of negative and positive obligations of States.

the best source of knowledge is still human experience
I have participated in one way or another in all the Business Forensics events over the last six years. For organisers, especially commercial ones, such an event is a very challenging task: how to cover an extremely diverse field, with diverse target groups, not to break it up too much, but still keep it coherent.
